More than just a meal

Volunteer

People who give time to Meals on Wheels often say that volunteering adds a new dimension to their lives. The satisfaction of doing something practical, yet personal, is reward in itself. Depending which service they work with, volunteers not only deliver meals, but also assist transporting clients to community centres to enjoy a meal along with other social activities. Others may be able to provide office skills, by helping set up databases, writing newsletters or preparing promotional fliers for events.

Please note – Not all services require volunteers. Some use all paid staff. To find out if there are volunteering opportunities in your area, contact your local service.
